Iyengar yoga teachers are internationally considered to be an esteemed professionals. It is mainly due to a clear and rigorous teachers education system and strict rules of their following education. Only certified teachers are allowed to use the registered mark Iyengar yoga and call their courses Iyengar yoga.

In Czech republic teachers have to apply for the licence prolongation every year and it is permited only when following criteria are fulfilled:

• number of classes teached during the year
• number of students from the las year
• finishing at least 25h of additional education
  (teached by the teacher with higher certification than the applicant have)

Czech association of Iyengar yoga obtained accreditation for organizing teacher trainings from czech ministry of education, youth and sports.
